Laboratory services

For laboratory tests, you will need a referral from a doctor or nurse at the health station.

For laboratory tests, certain sampling points are only available by appointment. Make an appointment online (in Finnish) or by phone.

Many factors affect laboratory test results, such as eating, strain, stress, coffee, tobacco, alcohol or medicines taken before the test. More information about preparing for tests is available at the Islab website or provided by the referring doctor, nurse or health station.

Laboratory services in the Siun sote area are provided by the joint municipal authority of the Eastern Finland laboratory centre ISLAB.
